Houbara Bustard Chlamydotis undulata
One minute the bird was feeding quietly and then just sitting around. Then, all of a sudden, it took off and
trotted up the hill to a Stonehenge-like collection of rocks where it puffed out its feathers and started
running frantically around in circles. It didn't look like it could see where it was going and came
perilously close to colliding with some very large boulders! The Houbara Bustard display must be one of
the most exotic and bizarre birding spectacles in the Western Palearctic region!
