With juvenile birds still about, August is obviously a good time to connect with one of the most
flighty and elusive of the Mediterranean specialities, Fan-tailed Warbler:
Often in the company of an untidy-looking Sardinian Warbler or two:

Also wilting in the heat!
Despite reading about large gatherings of Hoopoes in August, only a few sightings in and around
Pollensa, and only one brief photo opportunity
Serin picked out among the feeding finch flocks
